Roemio is a location-based game where you conquer real-world places. We care about your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and your rights.

Data we collect

• Location (GPS): to show nearby places, let you conquer, and explore the map. Location is processed only while you use the app and with your permission.
• Photos you take: photos you capture live when conquering a place are uploaded to our servers (Firebase Storage) and may be visible to other players in your collection, the live feed, and rankings. No photos are uploaded from your gallery.
• Account info: Sign in with Apple or an anonymous identity (user ID) and the username you choose.
• Game data: your conquests, coin/wallet balance, team, friends, rankings, and progress.
• Notification token: your device's notification token (FCM) so we can send you notifications.
• Approximate city: used for the city leaderboard and friend suggestions.

How we use data

• To run the game (conquering, map, teams, friends, rankings).
• To send notifications (friend activity, streak reminders, etc.).
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to enforce our rules.

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Third-party services

• Firebase / Google: authentication, database (Firestore), file storage (Storage), server functions, and messaging. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Apple: Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases.
• Geoapify: map and place data provider.

Location & photos

You can turn off location access anytime in your device Settings (some features may not work). Photos are captured live in-app only, associated with the place you conquer, and may be visible to other players.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in-app (Settings → Delete Account); this permanently removes your account, photos, and game data from our servers.

Your rights (KVKK / GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your data. To make a request, email support@roemio.app.

Children's privacy

Roemio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you in-app or on this page. The effective date is shown at the top.
